Compared to multi-walled carbon nanotubes, single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) have a higher aspect ratio, better electrical conductivity, flexibility, and adhesion. They build an efficient conductive network that lowers the internal resistance of the battery, which in turn improves the battery's safety. Additionally, they enhance the battery's fast-charging capability, energy density, and cycle life. Specifically, SWCNTs have better contact with silicon-carbon anode materials and stronger van der Waals forces. This allows them to form a stable conductive network between the silicon particles, which mitigates the volume expansion of the battery during charging and discharging and reduces particle pulverization, thus improving the battery's cycle stability.
